The Director of the Iranian Journal of Orthodontics is Dr. Mahtab Noori. The journal has been guided by distinguished Editors-in-Chief over the years, including Dr. Mohsen Shirazi (2006–2012) and Dr. Allahyar Geramy (2012–2020). The current Editor-in-Chief is Dr. Arezoo Jahanbin (2020–present), who continues to uphold the journal’s mission of publishing high-quality research and fostering scientific exchange in the field of orthodontics.
Publication Committee
The Publication Committee is responsible for defining, managing, and monitoring the publication process of the Iranian Journal of Orthodontics to ensure the production of high-quality scholarly content that meets the needs of the orthodontic community.
The Committee actively supervises the work of authors and reviewers, develops strategies for editorial management, oversees production, and leads promotion and outreach initiatives. It also identifies opportunities to enhance the efficiency and impact of editorial activities, while operating within the budgetary and policy framework established by the journal’s Board of Directors.
Membership and Terms:
- Committee members serve staggered three-year terms, with three new members appointed each year to maintain continuity and expertise within the committee.
- The Editor-in-Chief is appointed for a four-year term, which may be renewed beyond the initial period. Candidates for the Editor-in-Chief role are expected to have prior experience on editorial or publication committees.
- The composition of the Publication Committee reflects the diversity of the organization and the field of orthodontics, including representatives from all related sub-disciplines to ensure broad expertise and perspectives in decision-making.
- Committee members are selected by the Editor-in-Chief, ensuring that the team collectively possesses the necessary expertise to uphold the journal’s high standards.
